Amanda Sarrazin-Gould is currently studying to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law. She earned a Master of Public Health, specializing in Global Health, from the University of Alberta in 2015. She has previously earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Global Health from the University of Manchester in April 2013, after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts with majors in both Political Science and Sociology in June 2012. Amanda has a keen interest in public health in vulnerable populations, access to health care, and issues of social justice more broadly. Amanda is thrilled to see her efforts come to life with The Red Elephant and hopes it inspires others to take meaningful action.

Liam Sarrazin-Gould is speech language pathologist, having graduated from the University of Alberta with his MSc. He has a special interest in rehabilitation and empowerment, particularly focussing on health in low-resource settings. Liam is excited to apply the latter to an important issue in women’s health with The Red Elephant.

Hikari Hum is a certified school teacher, currently teaching elementary aged students with special needs. She graduated from Western University and Concordia University for her Education degree. She has worked in a variety of settings with vulnerable women is excited to serve as secretary for the Red Elephant.

Greg Wagner works as a Business Analyst at IBM, but has always had an interest in volunteering in the community. Greg served as secretary for The Red Elephant for two years before moving into the position of partnerships director. He is excited to apply his business analysis skills to this position with The Red Elephant.

Brandy Burns is an Event Coordinator, Office Administrator and Dot Connector. She has diplomas in event coordination and tourism. Brandy is passionate about equal health care for all, empowering women, and in particular ending #PeriodPoverty. She has traveled to Guatemala to promote menstrual hygiene, women’s health and reusable menstrual products. She works with this organization as well as another international not-for-profit organization that promotes fair menstrual hygiene for all women world wide. Brandy believes that #PeriodPoverty is a world wide health issue that touches every community and is solvable.
